The recent days another song shuffled on my mobile phone I didn't listen to for a very long time. Rotary Connection followed the idea of Marshall Chess, son of Chess-label founder Leonard Chess. He tried to establish a band on his new label away from blues and rock genres and took the backing band that played on Muddy Waters Electric Mud and recruited Minnie Riperton on vocals. The result was a soul album with a touch of psychedelic. Rotary Connection didn't got much critical acclaim but some of their songs are really good and worth to be played from time to time.
