I Hate Hate Part II

In ten comment section of my yesterday's post I got a message by Ernie from the fabulous blog 27 Leggies. Reading the title, he expected to hear/read something about some blue-eyed soul by Razzy Bailey. I'm glad that he wasn't disappointed that Ian Hunter appeared. So here is this Northern soul classic. When I listened to this song once again after years it made me looking for more gems from this era because if you started with one of these songs it takes a long time to stop because with every song you will find more and more classic tunes. Enjoy.

Monday's Long Song

There are already some days gone since I published something on this pages. But to be honest I wasn't in the mood for this since they found blood in my motion at my latest preventive medical checkup. Crazy thought were running through my brain like how to live with cancer and so on and I didn't found the muse for posting something on the blog. Last Friday I had my final colonoscopy and I am so happy that the result is negative and I can keep on living the way I used to do. One of the first records I played after this result was the fantastic live album by Donny Hathaway from 1972. Still one of the best live soul albums ever.

You've Lost That Loving Feeling

In 1972 Roberta Flack released the first of two albums in collaboration with Donny Hathaway. It is a classic soul album filled with duets by two great vocal artists. I always liked both of them but together they were ace and sometimes it needs nothing more than listening to their warm and tender voices.
