Sitting on my sofa after another busy day in the office watching the friendship game between Germany and Italy. Seems like Germany will beat the Italians and I ask myself the question is Germany ready for the European Championship in a few month or not. And I have to say no - Italy is no opposer for the preparation for the championship in June this year. I saw my team playing against England last Saturday and they sucked. England beat them in the second half and I was astonished to the new young team from the island. Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy (who made a goal like I've never seen before in ages - he's maybe the last footballer which was got straight from the pub) kicked our asses. And Italy is far behind their own possibilities. It seems like the big football nations are behind their possibillities in fact too many foreign players play in their leagues and there are less prospects for young players to show their abilities. So we won this game against Italy but I am sure that Germany will get out of this tournament latest in the semi final. Anyway, this is a song I love during it was released decades before and I will remember Stuart Adamson forever. Saw this band live in the early 80s and I will remember this gig till I die.
It's funny, every time people start to write the Germans off, they usually come through and win! Have faith Walter. England have some incredibly exciting new players - Vardy, Alli and Kane make a formidabloe frontline, but I'm certain Roy will pick the ever-deminishing Rooney as usual. When England beat Germany on Saturday, the fans - and the media - were all wetting themselves with delight. Yes, England were going to win the Euros at a canter. After last night it's all doom and gloom again, same old England, we'll fall at the quarters, etc...
As for Wales - nothing to lose. Once Bale, Ramsey and Ronson-Kanu are back, they have the potential to beat anyone. If they get out of the group stages it will be considered a triumph.
@CC:Sadly not seeing your team appear at this tournament. But I am sure we will see you back soon. @The Robster: You're right that we lose games before the tournament and we will win the essential games. But I for sure we are not able to win this tournament. If it will come the other way I would be surprised.
". But I for sure we are not able to win this tournament. If it will come the other way I would be surprised.": pure blasphemy, Walter ... you'll wait and see!
I think it is a very tough one to call this year. I don't think there is any one outstanding team in the tournament, but some country will grind it out. We have had sock winners in the past such as Denmark and Greece, so maybe another one-off winner.

As a Scot I have to ask - what are these European Champlionships that people are talking about?
My American team did quite well yesterday. Are those crickets I hear? Hello? Way to go, Walter. Love seeing some Big Country.

I hate the fact Scotland failed to qualify again.
