Looking back at my history I can't believe that I didn't posted anything by John Hiatt. He is a singer/songwriter from Indianapolis working on the scene for more than 40 years. His song were covered by a lot of artists during the last decades and I always had a lot of sympathies for his work. His music is deeply based in traditional country with a lot of elements of R 'n' B. What his songs make unique is his voice and the way he plays his guitar licks in the background. Sure there were a lot of more songs to feature him but I like this one because it is that kind of country-inspired music I like to play at the end of the day.

Great choice Walter. I listened to a lot of John Hiatt around this period.
Really got into his stuff in the early '90s because of his work with Nick Lowe and Little Village. A favorite now.
