Congrats To France

Sadly Germany is out of the tournament now. But everyone who watched this semi final between Germany and France was a witness of probably the best game so far. In this first half both teams played the most offensive football so far. Anyway, France was after all the better one because Germany wasn't able to make a goal by chances galore. Hope France will beat Portugal and sent Ronaldo home on Sunday.

Congrats Wales

The game between Wales and Belgium just ended and I am so happy that Wales reached the semi final of the UEFA Euro 2016. It was a very interesting game to watch and it was more than earned that Wales won this game. I supposed before that Wales would win because they are a TEAM, playing with hope in their hearts and I am looking forward to the next game. Hope they kick out Portugal and fucking CR7. Anyway, watching the games of Wales were the greatest fun in this tournament (except Iceland of course).

I watched the last two games on UEFA Euro 2016 last evening and was once more impressed by the Italian team. Now they are the hottest aspirant for winning the tournament. Looking forward to Saturday when Germany meets Italy. I believe in our team and think by myself we have a big chance if we attack them and play straight forward. In the last game I was surprised that Iceland has beaten England. What happened to the Three Lions? A team with extraordinary players lost again a hard fighting team. It was so disappointing to see highly paid professionals having no idea snapping Iceland's defence. Probably it's the fault of Roy Hodgson who had the wrong tactic for the game and it is time to send him in retirement. But it's not me that should judge about him and the team. Sad to miss England so let's cheer for Wales.

UEFA Euro 2016 Last 16

Last week was ruled by two more or less important things:  The British referendum about leaving the EU and the end of the preliminary round in EURO. To the Brexit and what will mean to us I will write some words in a following post because I am still too angry about what happened. Preliminary round is over and probably the real tournament will start. Most games disappointed me because most teams searched their own salvation in playing a strong defence. I am happy that some underrated teams like Iceland, Wales and Ireland reached the k.o.-modus. I watched the games yesterday and sadly Switzerland didn't take their big chance to win and lose by penalty. It's also great that Wales is in the round of the last eight (even by an own-goal). I was totally disappointed by Croatia who played the worst game in this tournament. I hope I am wrong when I said last evening with playing such a horrible football Portugal will reach the final (I can't bear the behaviour of Ronaldo any more). For several reasons I took a little break from this blog. First I watched a lot of games UEFA Euro competition and second my former wife is in Germany to visit me. So I seldom found enough time for posting. A few weeks ago my brother introduced me to a video by HipHop band from Hamburg that really went out of my radar. Beginner is a Hamburg based in the mid 90s as Absolute Beginners. Their first album with their English spoken songs sold a lot of copies. From their second record on they did their rhymes in German. I am not a huge fan of HipHop though, but some bands/songs grabbed me. This is the first song from their upcoming album. They do their rhymes about bringing back HipHop to Hamburg over a drastic keyboard sequence that. It is a good song and a great black and white video.

UEFA Euro 2016 Preliminary Round

When the championship started last Friday me and my mates watched most of the games so far. We discussed lot about the destructive play of many teams at their first games. In my opinion it is more the fear of losing the game than to play offensive and get your chance to win. We didn't see great games so far and there were less games to remember. What impressed us much was Ireland with a great attacks toward the goal, England with a great advantage in the game but less successful at the end of the game. Italy with these old guys playing an detached game with a lot of effectiveness. Wales with a formidable game and three points. While I was typing these words France won against Albania and I think they were hot for the victory the competition. Looking forward to the second round especially Germany against Poland and Wales against England. Let's see what will come up in the next games.

It's a sunny Sunday morning and it seems like Indian Summer came to stay for a few days. So it's easy to get out of bed and do something I should have done for weeks. During the weeks I was to lazy to do my correspondence in time. When letters or bills arrived I only check the sender and if I think it's necessary I'll open it. Otherwise I put it on the pile of unfinished correspondence. When the pile is too high I have to finish it. And that's my job for this morning. Made myself a cup of coffee and checked out some music that plays in the background while working on my correspondence. One of the most remixed songs by Joe Strummer is probably Mondo Bongo - and here is a nice and slow version.



Tonight the qualification games starts for UEFA EURO 2016. Germany will play against the Scottish team. I really don't know how strong Strachan's boys are but I'm sure they will fight. Because I want to see Scotland with the EURO, besides I would be undecided contented with.
