Space Van

 

In the last few days I've been listening to a lot of Echo and the Bunnymen and then came across the solo works of Will Sergeant. The majority of his releases were instrumental albums on which he showed off his guitar to reduced synth sounds.

One of his solo projects was Glide, in which he turned to more ambient music. They released their first album Space Age Freak Out in 1997. And the title actually reflects the music. The tracks were recorded live and are characterized by ambient and psychedelic electronic keyboard sounds and the occasional guitar. The meditative mood may not be to everyone's taste, but it is relaxing and exciting at the same time.
