Soma Gone Slapstick

Bildergebnis für Vintage beach

Back from across the Atlantic ocean and almost passed the jet-lag jet. Had myself a relaxed and amazing time over there (don't want to talk about the election again). Listened a lot to American music while I was out riding in the car. I heard this new song by Kristin Hersh first over there and it is a typical new American folk-rock song. Since she released her overwhelming My Ghost she was on my radar. This new one is not on the same level but still a song I will listen often in the next weeks - not only because of the memories I have when I listened it the first time. And it also a nice start into the new working week for me.

Her solo stuff of late has been patchy. The new album is a double with 24 tracks. There are about 12-13 songs that would make a cracking single album. The rest are not awful, but do feel like padding.

I was a big fan of Kristin for years, but she's beginning to wear a little thin on me now.

The Swede hat gesagt…

I loved Kristin dearly for a while, but she fell off my radar some time ago. She's playing locally soon and after hearing this tune I might make the effort to go and see her again.
Welcome back Walter!
