Talking about female soul singer of the 60's there were mostly named singers from across the Atlantic ocean. Sadly it was overlooked that Great Britain had also wonderful soulful voices. If it was Welsh singer Mary Hopkin, Essex born Sandie Shaw or Scottish singer and actress Lulu - all of them had a great voice and veritable hits almost 60 years ago and worth to be remembered.
Today I start my annual journey to Sri Lanka again. So there will be only a few posts in the next weeks. Have a wonderful time and stay safe.
Mary Hopkin - Those Were The Days
Sandie Shaw - (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me
Lulu and the Luvvers - Shout
