After the resolution of Hüsker Dü in 1988 Bob Mould formed after a few solo album s the three pieced alternative rock band Sugar. Their first album Copper Blue is an outstanding trademark of post-punk in the early 90's. Filled with a lot of great songs that continues the tradition of Hüsker Dü with a punk style guitar and slowing the tempo sometimes and adding emphasizing melodies to their sound. I don't know the reason why but after all new music I come back to this record. It is a trademark for this music and probably a trademark for independent music. Thank you Bob Mould.

You’re right Walter it is a magnificent album
Not just one of the best records of the 90s, but undeniably one of the best records of all time.
A terrific LP and in terms of sheer volume on stage, not far short of Hüsker Dü.
Copper Blue fit in so well with what I wanted from music in the early 90's. Shoegaze saved me from Grunge and Sugar's output fit so well into that slot. Harder, Rock-ier, but still somehow dreamy and psychedelic.
I listen to more Sugar than any other era from Mould's legendary career. Now that's saying something.
Its a very good record. His best outside Husker Du.
