New Song On Sunday

Manchester's DJ and producer Psychederek aka Lewis Olsen returned this week with a new EP on his own label Via Jupiter. As usual, he once again combines electronic synths with live instruments, creating a soundscape that lies somewhere between Balearic pop and jazzy ambient. The EP opens with the standout track ‘Saint Joan’, featuring a nostalgic-sounding acoustic guitar and handmade percussion that allow the song to drift off into dreamy realms. It is certainly one of the better EP's in this genre from 2026.

2023 - Short

In addition to my year-end list, here are a few songs that didn't appear on it but should not go unmentioned. The list does not contain a rating of the songs.

Vitamin D

Manchester's Lewis Olsen aka Psychederek announced his first album later this year. Almost two years ago he released Space Arcade, an EP with various mixes which became one of the most played records at my place. This song is an appetizer from his upcoming album and it nothing more or less superb psyche-pop with good guitars and great harmonies that can brighten your day.
