Regular visitors to this site will know that I have a particular fondness for Moon Duo and that they feature here quite often. They recently re-released their first EP and added three more tracks that had previously been released on other formats.
Moon Duo is the project by Ripley Johnson und Sanae Yamada. Unlike with Wooden Shjips, in this band he celebrates a wild, psychedelic guitar sound in which guitar and keyboards complement each other perfectly. Minimalist rhythms and melodies that repeat constantly come together to form a dusty, grubby, drone-laden sound that is unrivalled in its genre.

I was aware of Wooden Shjips but it was your and Adam (Bagging Area)’s championing of Moon Duo that switched me on to their music. Thanks again!
