One band that has featured here several times is My Ugly Clementine, a trio of women from Vienna who have released their third album this week.
Having indulged in upbeat indie rock on their first two albums, My Ugly Clementine are now striking a harder note, drawing inspiration for grunge and alternative rock. The guitars stumble along noisily in the opening track Don't Mess With Me, clinging to Sophie Lindinger's clear voice before suddenly picking up speed. By the end, the track comes close to the perfection of a modern indie rock song.
